ENGLISH ASSIGNMENT

How do write better Essay
          What is meaning of essay? Many words make a sentence, many sentences create a paragraph, and many paragraphs construct an essay. If a book is motivating people will read the book, if the book is not motivating to read therefore, people cannot read .The magnetism is vital. Using opening dialogues, story and poems to make your essay attention- grabbing.
Madam Umi kalsom have been teaching us to write better essay. As usual an essay must have introduction, contents, and conclusion. But every paragraph must have topic sentences, controlling ideas, and supporting idea and concluding sentences. Topic sentences the main idea of paragraph. It not only names the topics to one specific area that can be discussed completely in the space of a single. The part of the topics sentences that announces the specific area to be discussed called the controlling ideas.
            Supporting sentences develop the topic sentence. That explains or proves the topic sentence by giving more information about it.The concluding sentences signals the end of the paragraph and leaves the reader with important points to remember.so to write better essay not only have introduction, content and conclusion but must have topic, controlling, supporting, and concluding sentence.
            Beside that must use conjunction, adverb, and adjective and preposition to make to join with points. We cannot use the same word repetition, so we use parallel term to make our essay interesting.
            In conclusion, I have been learnt to write a better essay.

Group presentation

          On 21 November 2011, I and my four classmates have been done a group presentation. Madam Umi Kalsom gave many title for group presentation firstly you are where you sit, secondly you are what you wear, thirdly you are what you drive and lastly you are what you eat.
            We choose the title “you are where you sit “because this title is simple and have to describe where student have to sit. Every seat has its own class and features.
Those days, does not have classroom for student to study but nowadays classroom have many facilities including table, chair and air-conditioner to make a great environment to student. A classroom has many seats, but only the student determines where they are going to sit. Either in the front, middle, back, and near to door.
            The student seat in front is the student sitting in first or second row.  Front row seaters are eagers, they are ambitious. They will be aware of what is happening in classroom and it will ensure them to absorb faster compare to others and learn the information which conveyed by the lecturer to the students. The students really alerts and gain information effectively. The student’s seats in front have learning opportunities. Moreover, they will come early to put effort and energy into scrambling for the highly prized front row seats. Being a Front Row Seater means that you are confident with a healthy self-esteem.
            The students who seat middle are the student between first and last row. This is the optimal position in the classroom.it allows you to keep track of everything that’s happening among the students and relatively close to the professor.
             The students who are seat back are the person really does not care in study and the students come in late to class. The students the back where the lecturer will not be noticed and they have a good chance of escaping being called on. They do not give respect to lecturer and they can be sloppy in appearance because no one will notice you in the back rows.
              The student seat near door they got somewhere to rush off to right after class, have important call to attend and they can exit and enter the classroom without causing a disturbance.
               Conclusion, the student have many seat to seat in classroom but better way they should seat in front to concentrate their study and assemble classroom table like U shape to make sure they can concentrate very well.


How do you perceive yourself as a student?
             My English class is a class I really alike to study and it very fascinating. Student really want to learn in classroom if the lecturer sporting. If the lecturer not sporting or boring student does not come to the classroom.
            Madam Umi kalsom gave many techniques for English to make sure the student can recall. For example: topic sentences, controlling ideas and conclude sentences. In addition Madam also explain use accurate preposition in right condition or situations. Classmate in my class is have given 90 percentage attendance and when Madam Umi kalsom impart whole class keep on silent.
            Every week have speaker’s corner to make sure class is free of mind and they can listen different story the title of “SPECIAL DAY” every week. My classmate everybody perform the speaker‘s corner excellently.
            Moreover, Madam Umi kalsom give work in group for student can learn perfectly and teach each other or support each to solve the problems or question. Group discussion is better way to improve English and have much knowledge to discuss in group.
            Group assignment to implement student as future leader .Many ideas have combined together to form a great assignment. We spend time and put effort to do the assignment.
            Section 1AM really proud to have Madam Umil kalsom as lecturer last and this semester. I never forget Madam Umi kalsom in my life.
           

Speaking before Malaysian University English Test.
             
            Madam Umi kalsom have been choose four  person in a group speaking.Saravanan,Sanjay,Rupan and Parvin kaur  have been selected for perform the title of
“ the person really need organ children, old people,teenager,and person who have money”. Candidate A, B, C, D has performed their speaking respectively.
            There are two speaking.one is individual speaking and other one is group speaking. Every person give two minute to one read question given and ask question to regarding to the title. Every single person has to talk two minute, total eight minutes to individual for speaking. Individual speaking is the speaker has to give talk individualy.He or she can use WH-question to develop their points in speaking and have explained detail about the title.
                After finishing the individual speaking, the speaker have been given  two minute for read four question for read to get to next speaking. Group speaking given 10 minute to achieve each person to talk about topic and agree or disagree with the speaking point.
            After finishing group speaking, Madam Umi kalsom make clear about the speaker’s talk. Madam say have to choose suitable tenses and grammar. Speak clearly and louder to make sure all of group member can hear. Must jot down the every point given by the speaker talk and give comments to the point given. So the group discuss become more stimulating.
